Dr. Michael T. Fuga, Principal

Greetings! I am Dr. Michael T. Fuga, proud Principal at JF Webb High School. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Go Steelers! I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Education from Washington & Jefferson College. I moved to North Carolina in 2005. I taught at Neal Middle School in Durham before completing my Masters of School Administration at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. After completing my degree I became the Assistant Principal at Southern Durham High School. I have been fortunate to have two opportunities to lead schools as the Principal, Rogers-Herr Middle School and Neal Middle School, both in Durham Public Schools. I completed my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2016. Based on our school transformation, student and staff success, and an excellent leadership team, I was recognized as the 2018 Durham Public Schools Principal of the Year.

I am so excited about the opportunity to serve the JF Webb School Community, Oxford, and Granville County Schools. I enjoy my job and love helping others facilitating the educational process everyday. I do not consider what I do work, since I enjoy it as much as I do. I approach education with a passion to help every student learn and create an environment that opens the door for students and teachers to maximize their potential.

At the core of my leadership is the ability to build positive, supportive, working relationships with all stakeholders. From my experience as a leader and coach, a team moving in the same direction is always stronger than an individual. I truly believe that we can unite the JF Webb Family to move in one direction together to help every student learn and develop. I have loved seeing the loyalty and passion for JF Webb and am so grateful to be a part of the Webb Family. I look forward to helping restore Webb traditions of excellence while also integrating some positive, sustainable change to help the school community grow and flourish.

Andres Restrepo, Assistant Principal

Hello Warriors!

My name is Andres Restrepo, and I have the honor to be the assistant principal at JF Webb High School. Since I was in high school, I knew I wanted to be an educator because I appreciated how my teachers cared about me, and I felt I needed to retribute that passion to others. My school is my safe environment, and my favorite place to be. I also love visiting libraries and learning new languages. Reading is my guide. I learned English when I was 23, back in my home country, Colombia! I am a soccer and basketball fan, but I enjoy attending any sports event, and I can’t wait to see our warrior players in action. I also love music, especially salsa, rap, reggae, and pop.

I am an advocate for justice, fair play, people, and nature. I strive to bring equity and peace in every community I am part of. I have a BA in Modern Languages, a Masters' in ESL, and I am currently finishing my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. Soon, I will begin my Masters' in School Administration! I love studying and education is my life project.

I feel privileged to be a Granville County public schools star!

Hola a todos!

Soy Andres Restrepo y tengo el honor de ser el director asistente en JF Webb!
